1st- 6th Class were thrilled to have a science day yesterday with Anne Conneely. Anne, a talented scientist, who is an Aunt of Keeva and Clodagh and kindly offered to come in to do science with the children. It was so engaging and the children loved it all. We are so grateful to Anne for doing such a wonderful workshop.
On Monday we did birthday baking with the children who had recent birthdays and who will have birthdays over the summer. Martina also sent home/ kept cake for any children who was absent on the day. Special thanks to Martina for organising this so well. Such a lovely treat and they shared the cake with the whole school.

Last Friday the Junior Room travelled to Westport house for our school tour. They had a super day!
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Garda Alan to the school. Garda Alan spoke with the Junior and Senior room children. He chatted about safety i.e. the importance of wearing seatbelts, sitting in the back of cars, online safety, bullying, water safety, etc… We appreciate Garda Alan making the time to come to talk to the children.
The Junior Room also took a walk to Omey. They built wonderful castles and did great exploring for various types of fish. They had a great time!
