Today, we were busy in the kitchen with Ms. Griffin preparing some delicious Halloween treats for our Halloween party tomorrow… The Junior and Senior Infants made ‘Spider Krispy buns’, 1st and 2nd made ‘Chocolate apples’ and 3rd to 6th made creepy ‘eyeball buns’. They all made enough for everyone in the school so they will enjoy having them at their Halloween party tomorrow!

Between breaks, we had True North perform for us. The band members have travelled all the way from America. We enjoyed the performance, especially the last song ‘Country road’.

We were delighted to welcome Lydia and Martin from The Sketchcan Caravan back for a wonderful performance called ‘Bumble-beep’ for Junior Infants- 1st Class. It was so engaging, we loved it.

We started out today with a fantastic drumming workshop, brought to us by Barra Ó Flanniagh, there was great noise and energy in the room. Barra was super with the children. Special thanks to #clifdenartsfestival for bringing this wonderful workshop to our school.

This afternoon, 1st-6th class had a super Irish Dancing workshop with the talented Ellen Curley. We made the most of the lovely day and did our workshop outside. Thanks to Ellen for coming and to #clifdenartsfestival

The Juniors had a lovely time making their own characters with Tuesday Whitfield. They used various materials to make their character and then they made up stories about them!
