The children have been learning all about St. Brigid and the great work that she did. They made St. Brigid’s crosses today and did a great job.
This month, the whole school have been doing The Food Dudes Program. The children have been trying a variety of healthy fruit and veg. They are learning about the importance of eating healthy and have done some lovely art in both classrooms. Well done to everyone for their great work on this important topic!
We are currently working on Global Citizenship- Travel theme with the Green Schools. On Tuesday, we had a visit with our Green Schools Coordinator Lorraine and the senior room pupils conducted a ‘Travel Speed Survey’ of cars passing the school. 20 cars were surveyed and in general most were within the 50km speed limit. A couple were over the speed limit!

We did a Christmas Jumper Day today and raised a fantastic €260 and also have donated a food hamper too. Thanks to all who supported our Christmas Jumper Day in aid of St. Vincent de Paul.
Ms. Griffin and Martina did some birthday baking for pupils born in November, December & January. The cakes were shared out with everyone and were delicious!
Congratulations to our 2nd- 6th who did an excellent performance with their play ‘Straw and Order’ last Thursday. Such talented actors!

Congratulations to all of our pupils who won Credit Union Art Competition prizes recently. They went to The Connemara Credit Union on the 1st December to receive their prizes. Best of luck to Robert & Joey who have gotten into Stage 2 of the Competition. Well done to all who entered, the standard was so high! Thanks to Connemara Credit Union.
